STATEMENT OF VALUES and PARTICIPATION

Cairns Rock and Roll Dance Club Inc 

The Cairns Rock and Roll Dance Club seeks to provide and foster an environment where members, musicians and the public can appreciate rock and roll music through rock and roll dance.

n the furtherance of this mission, it is important that our members share and commit to these values.

1. Respect
    Respect your fellow members, participants, and members of the management committee and support them in all of your endeavours with the Club. Do not participate in gossip or engage in conversations that disparages the Club or the management committee.
   
   
2. Accessible
   Questions, concerns and feedback are welcome. Please direct such comments to any member of the management committee.
   
   
3. Accountability
    The Club aims to be transparent about decisions made, its practices and its operation.
   
   
4. Enjoyment
   The Club is a social club and all members should attend with the aim to enjoy themselves, have a good time and spread their love of rock and roll music and dance with others.
   
   
5. Complaints handling policy
    Complaints will be handled with all due care and seriousness and where applicable referred on to other entities if deemed appropriate. Complaints should be directed to the management committee in writing. The management committee will acknowledge receipt of your complaint, identify if your complaint is able to be reviewed by the management committee or if your complaint must be referred to another entity and advise you of the process for reviewing and responding to your complaint.

Participation in the Cairns Rock and Roll Dance Club:

Aims

• To promote and foster Rock and Roll dancing in all its forms. This includes dancing lessons, conventions and gatherings for the benefit of musicians and the public alike.
• To provide benefits and enjoyment for the members of the club, their guests and the general public.
• To keep members and the general public informed of the activities of the club.

​Participation

• The Cairns Rock and Roll Dance Club is dedicated to providing a safe, inclusive and comfortable environment for our members and guests
• Attendees understand that participation in the Club activities involves the
  risk of injury and/or loss and damage to property and that they participate in the Club’s
  activities at their own risk. By engaging in the Club’s activities, attendees represent that they
  have the physical ability and health to participate in the same without causing injury or
  harm to themselves or others. The Club’s management, members, volunteers or agents are
  not liable for any personal injury, loss or damage of property or expenses, including medical
  expenses, which attendees may suffer at the Club and/or as a result of a Club activity.
